Maruti e Vitara: Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to launch its most awaited electric SUV, the e Vitara, which has been spotted recently in a bold black exterior just before its official launch. Unveiled first at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the model is now making waves as it gets ready to enter the Indian market.

Bold and Muscular Design

The e Vitara’s test mule boasts a glossy black finish with LED tail lamps, aggressive rear bumper styling, and an aggressive, upright stance. Contemporary styling takes over the SUV with polygonal wheel arches, heavy body cladding, aero-styled dual-tone alloy wheels, and a more rugged overall character. Maruti has seemingly designed the e Vitara to exude a contemporary yet muscle-inspired design language that resonates both locally and internationally.

Distinctive Exter ior Elements

Spotted outside Maruti’s Gurgaon campus, the vehicle showcases a clear ‘e Vitara’ badge. Other standout design elements include Maruti’s signature C-pillar rear door handles, sculpted side profile, aerodynamic enhancements, and a rear spoiler. These features were earlier hinted at through patent leaks, confirming the brand’s intent to offer a bold and clean look tailored for a wide audience.

Range and Battery Options

One of the greatest strengths is the e Vitara’s range while driving. Maruti has two battery pack sizes on offer—48.8 kWh and 61.1 kWh. On a full charge, the SUV guarantees more than 500 kilometers of range, placing it in the league of top India-long-range EV players.

Bundled with Contemporary Features

Within the cabin, the e Vitara should be loaded with premium features. These shall range from a digital instrument cluster to a 360-degree camera system, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The fact that it shall feature Level-2 ADAS, a power-adjustable driver seat, and auto climate control adds to its desirability. Maruti shall be releasing it in three trims: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

Likely Competition in the EV Segment

It will compete with the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra XUV.e9, and MG ZS EV once it is launched. Pricing is expected to be in the range of ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be aimed at being a strong player in the premium electric vehicle space with both looks and substance.
