Maruti e-Vitara: Finally, after months of waiting, Maruti Suzuki has come up with the launch date of its first electric SUV. India will see the launch of e-Vitara on 3rd September 2025, while a rollout in markets like the UK and Netherlands will also take place. With a charging capability of 500 kilometers and a good list of features, this electric SUV will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and MG Windsor.
Exterior and Interior Features
Maruti e-Vitara will be equipped with a sharp and trendy appearance. It receives LED headlamps, DRLs, LED tail-lamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The front grille features active air vents for enhanced performance. In the inside, it will feature a panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, and premium dual-tone finish that gives an aesthetically pleasing touch.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Maruti has equipped the e-Vitara with cutting-edge tech. The vehicle features a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported, as well as Infinity by Harman audio system and in-car connectivity technology. Wireless charging, single-zone climate control, drive modes such as Eco, Normal, and Sport, as well as snow mode and one-pedal driving are among the features.
Safety Features of Maruti e-Vitara
Maruti’s e-Vitara will offer Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). These include lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring. For added safety, the car gets 7 airbags, 360-degree camera, rear disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and an AVAS system to alert pedestrians when the car is moving silently.
Variants and Battery Options
Maruti will sell the e-Vitara in various trims with two battery pack sizes — 49kWh and 61kWh. The Sigma model priced at approximately ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom) will come with 49kWh. The Delta variant can be priced around ₹19.5 lakh. Zeta will come in both 49kWh and 61kWh options, priced around ₹21 lakh and ₹22.5 lakh respectively. The Alpha model with 61kWh can be priced at around ₹24 lakh.
Color Choices
Customers will receive 10 color options, out of which 6 mono-tone colors such as Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, and Bluish Black. On top of that, there will be 4 dual-tone colors with blacked-out roof and pillars, in conjunction with contrasting body colors such as Arctic White, Land Breeze Green, Splendid Silver, and Opulent Red.
