Mahindra is constantly launching vehicles with new and modern features to strengthen its hold in the Indian automobile market. Now, seeing the growing demand for hybrid cars, this homegrown brand is preparing to bring a hybrid version of its popular sub-compact SUV, the XUV 3XO.

At present, the company has not officially given any information about the launch date of the XUV 3XO Hybrid. But, if media reports are to be believed, this hybrid car can come to India by 2026. Mahindra is working on this project internally under the codename S226.

The upcoming XUV 3XO Hybrid may see some minor changes in the design, such as hybrid badging. However, its overall look and dimensions are expected to remain similar to the current XUV 3XO.

Mahindra XUV 3XO Hybrid Features and Safety

The upcoming XUV 3XO Hybrid SUV is expected to retain many premium features of the current model. It gets many features like panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch dual digital display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, multiple charging points and 6-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Currently, this SUV gets many other safety features like 6 airbags, 360 degree camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear view camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) in all variants for the safety of the passengers. However, many more new and modern features can be given in the upcoming XUV 3XO Hybrid.

Mahindra XUV 3XO Hybrid Engine and Mileage

This upcoming hybrid SUV is likely to get a strong hybrid system with the existing 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine currently claims to give mileage of up to 21.20 kmpl without hybrid system. In such a situation, it is expected that this engine can give mileage of up to 26 kmpl with hybrid engine.

Mahindra XUV 3XO Hybrid Expected Price

Currently, this SUV is being sold in the domestic market at a starting price of just Rs 7.99 lakh ex-showroom. It is being said that the company can also offer its hybrid version at an affordable price. In such a situation, it is expected that the starting ex-showroom price of the XUV 3XO Hybrid can be less than or around Rs 10 lakh.
