Aircraft-Inspired Toggle Switches
Most cars today rely on touch controls, but the Mahindra Vision S has chosen a different path. On its center console, you will find piano key-style physical buttons and aircraft-like toggle switches that come with backlit icons. This design is not only user-friendly but also gives the cabin a classy retro look.
These switches are arranged in a layered structure to avoid accidental pressing. A total of 7 switches have been provided, which include functions like seat heating, hill descent control, hazard lights, differential lock, traction control and drive mode selector.
Dual Screen and Crystal
The Vision S gets dual screens on its dashboard – one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. Between them are vertical AC vents, which have a geometric and crystal-inspired design. This reflects Mahindra’s new design language and gives the cabin a premium look.
A small LCD screen is visible on the climate control panel, which indicates that it will have dual-zone climate control. The best part is that you can use physical buttons to adjust the temperature, which is safer and easier while driving than a touchscreen.
Wheel and design
The Vision S gets a new sporty three-spoke D-cut steering wheel with haptic controls. The centre console houses buttons for a traditional gear selector, auto hold and electronic parking brake.
Apart from this, the Vision S will be the world’s first flat-floor ICE SUV thanks to the NU_IQ platform. This means there will be no hump in the cabin floor, which will provide more legroom and extra comfort to passengers.
Premium and Comfortable
Mahindra has made full use of soft-touch materials in the interior of the Vision S. The dashboard and door trims have a premium finish, which gives the cabin a luxurious feel. The seats are in a dual-tone theme and adjustable headrests are available for both front and rear passengers.
