Kia Clavis:Kia is preparing to spice up the Indian automobile market with three new models. Two of them are electric vehicles and the third is a facelifted SUV. These vehicles have already been sighted during their testing phase, which means that their official release is imminent.
Kia Clavis EV
Kia will enter the mass-market EV space with the Clavis EV, which will be launched in July 2025. Based on the all-new Clavis design, this electric MPV has already been spotted several times testing in India. As per reports in the media, Clavis EV can provide a driving range of more than 400 km on one charge, making it a convenient choice for daily use as well as inter-city driving. The new launch is a strategic push towards competing in the booming EV segment in India.
Kia Syros EV
The Kia Syros EV will be the electric variant of the best-selling Syros SUV. Although the final release schedule is not yet announced, rumors point towards a late 2025 or early 2026 launch. The Syros EV, similar to the Clavis, is expected to come with more than 400 km of range in a single charge. This puts it in a direct class against the other mid-size electric SUVs, making Indian consumers interested in a combination of looks, range, and the reliability of Kia.
Kia Seltos Facelift
Besides its EV strategy, Kia is also gearing up with a new generation of its popular mid-size SUV, the Seltos. Seen several times plying Indian roads in the testing phase, the new Seltos is likely to debut globally by the end of 2025 and arrive in Indian showrooms in 2026. One of the largest anticipated updates is the addition of a hybrid powertrain. Reports suggest a strong hybrid setup featuring a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This move will make the Seltos more fuel-efficient while maintaining its familiar performance.
Seltos Facelift to Do More Than Cosmetic Updates
While design refreshes are a part of all facelifts, the 2025 Seltos is also reportedly introducing a more significant change on the engine side. The rumored addition of hybrid technology indicates better mileage and lower emissions. Paired with a new exterior and interior refresh, the facelift seeks to maintain Seltos as competitive in its class.
