Kia Sonet 2025 vs Hyundai Venue : Compact SUVs have become the most preferred segment among Indian car buyers. They are stylish, comfortable, loaded with features, and extremely suited for city conditions. Coming into 2025, among the most highly anticipated SUVs in this segment are the Kia Sonet and the Hyundai Venue, both of which are practically overflowing with features and certainly command a strong road presence. So, should you decide to buy one, which one should it be? An uncool comparison.

Exterior Design & Road Presence

With sporty and aggressive lines, sporting sharp LED detail, a signature tiger-nose grille, and stylish-looking alloy wheels, the Kia Sonet fits the bill of actual SUV-like styling. The Venue, meanwhile, is quite clean and uncluttered, with squared-off front edges and slightly boxy-looking rear styling. Sonet, in terms of looks, does feel a little more uptown, while the Venue remains plain and sober.

Interiors and Comfort

The interiors of the two cars are equally well built and feature-rich. The Sonet sports a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a digital driver display, and even a sunroof along with some classy materials. The Venue, for its part, brings in an 8-inch touchscreen, connected car features, an air purifier, and an option of dual-tone themes. Here, on the luxury features scorecard, Sonet would be a slighty ahead.

Performance and Fuel Consumption

Both SUVs come with engine alternatives quite alike- a 1.2L petrol, a 1.0L turbo petrol, and a 1.5L diesel. And you can choose from manual, iMT, and automatic gearboxes. They both drive really well, although Sonet feels a little more refined at the top end. Fuel efficiency too is pretty close, with both cars returning around 18-20 kmpl depending on the engine and transmission.

Boot Space and Ride Comfort

The Sonet boasts more boot space at 392 litres compared to the Venue that offers 350 litres. The ground clearance of the Sonet is also slightly better, making it more suitable for bad roads. The Venue, on another hand, has a softer suspension setup, further enhancing comfort while riding in the city.
