The era of electric vehicles is rapidly advancing, and now Kia is also going to jump into this race. South Korean automaker Kia has prepared two new electric cars, Kia Carens EV and Syros EV, to enter the Indian electric car market. The launch timelines of these two cars have now leaked online. Let’s know everything about these new electric cars in detail.

Kia Carens EV: Design and Features

The Kia Carens EV, which is the electric version of the brand’s already popular MPV, is set to be officially announced in April. The grand launch could take place in May or June. The exact date will be announced in the next few weeks.

Talking about its design, the design of the Carens EV will be slightly different from the current model. It will be based on the facelifted Kia Carens, which will be launched in the coming months. It will have new L-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlights, and aerodynamic alloy wheels. Connected LED taillights and a new rear bumper will also be seen at the rear.

On its interiors, the Carens EV could get features like a redesigned dashboard, dual 10.25-inch screen setup, panoramic sunroof, and ADAS Level 2 suite. Its price is expected to start from Rs 25 lakh.

Kia Carens EV: Range

The Kia Carens EV is expected to have the same electric powertrain as the recently launched Hyundai Creta Electric. It will have two battery pack options:

  • 42 kWh battery pack: ARAI-claimed range of 390 km and 135 PS electric motor.
  • 51.4 kWh battery pack: ARAI-claimed range of 473 km and 171 bhp electric motor.

Kia Syros EV

The Kia Syros EV, which will be the electric version of the brand’s sub-compact SUV, will launch in India in the first quarter of 2026. The car will follow the same design and silhouette as its ICE model, but will also have some EV-specific design changes.

This Syros EV is expected to be priced between Rs 12-18 lakh, which will put it in competition with rivals like the Tata Nexon.ev and the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.

Kia Syros EV: Range

If we talk about its range, the Syros EV is expected to have a 40 kWh battery pack, which will give it a range of 350-400 km. This car can prove to be an ideal choice for urban and highway driving.
