CNG Kit
The company has taken full safety precautions with this CNG kit. This kit is approved by the Government of India and has been manufactured by Lovato, a well-known CNG kit company. This kit will only be available with the Premium (O) variant, which features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a manual gearbox. This means that currently, CNG will not be available with the automatic transmission or turbo engine options.
Price
Kia Carens CNG Kit is priced at ₹77,900 if it talks about the price, which will be fitted at the dealer-level. The kit comes with a 3-year or 1 million-kilometer third-party warranty, which will be offered by the Lovato company. This kit will be installed in the boot of Carens, which may reduce the boot space slightly when using third row seats.

Mileage and performance
The company has not yet released official mileage or performance data for the Kia Carens CNG, but it is expected to deliver significantly better fuel efficiency than the petrol variant. The Kia Carens CNG is likely to be most beneficial for fleet operators or self-employed taxi drivers. Its running costs are significantly reduced due to the use of CNG fuel. Furthermore, in cities like Delhi-NCR, where there are restrictions on petrol/diesel vehicles, the CNG Carens can be driven without any limitations.
