Kawasaki has decreased the price of its KLX 230 dual-sport motorcycle by ₹1.30 lakh in India. The new 2026 model is priced at ₹1.99 lakh ex-showroom. Previously, it used to be sold at ₹3.30 lakh. The price cut is enormous because of local production. The bike was previously sold as a CKD unit, and that added costs.

Off-Road Bike for More Riders

KLX 230 is designed for off-road riding. Previously, its hefty price discouraged numerous customers. Presently, with a significantly lower price, it is able to lure more buyers who seek a light and robust Japanese dual-sport bike. The motorcycle will directly compete with the Hero Xpulse 210, priced between ₹1.76 lakh and ₹1.86 lakh ex-showroom.

New Look, Same Specs

The 2026 model receives new decals for a fresh new appearance. Colour schemes are still the same — Lime Green and Battle Grey. No alterations have been done to the technical values. The KLX 230 is still as light as 139 kg with a seat height of 265 mm, which makes it ideal for trail and adventure use.

Engine and Performance

The KLX 230 comes equipped with a 233cc air-cooled engine. It produces 17.8 bhp and 18.3 Nm of torque. This combination provides good low and mid-range torque, which enhances its off-road performance. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission for efficient power delivery.

Off-Road Features

It features a 21-18 inch spoke wheel set, long travel suspension, and a ground clearance of 265 mm. These specifications make it prepared for demanding trails and off-road travel.
