Hyundai Verna SX Plus: Hyundai has just added a new spin to its highly successful sedan range. The brand-new Verna SX+ variant provides a premium feel without asking for top-of-the-range pricing. Aired specifically for customers looking for value with modern technology and features, the new launch packages top-model features into a mid-range deal that promises to attract performance as well as budget-driven customers.
Exterior and Interior
The SX+ variant carries over Verna’s sharp and sophisticated outward attractiveness. It boasts LED headlamps, a rear spoiler, and 16-inch alloy wheels, giving it a sporty and contemporary road presence. The interior now features numerous premium comforts hitherto exclusive to the SX(O) variant. These consist of heated and cooled front seats, leatherette upholstery, and an improved Bose 8-speaker sound system, which gives the interior a rich, upscale ambiance.
Feature Highlights
The SX+ trim adds a number of intelligent features previously reserved for the range-topping SX(O) model. They are:
- Front parking sensors
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility through a wired-to-wireless adapter
- Rear parking camera
- 10.25-inch screen (in variants that are compatible)
TPMS, ESC, ABS with EBD, and six airbags as standard
Hyundai is also launching a wired-to-wireless adapter as a special offering at ₹4,500. This wired-to-wireless adapter supports Verna SX(O), SX Turbo, and SX(O) Turbo models. Lower trims like SX+ and S trims are already equipped with wireless connectivity via their 8-inch screens.
Engine, Performance and Mileage
The Verna SX+ is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It makes 115hp power and 143.8Nm torque. There is an option of a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox for the buyer. Hyundai rates the car at giving a fuel economy of 18 to 19 km/l, which is a big plus point for those in need of performance and mileage.
Smart Pricing for More Features
The largest benefit of the new SX+ variant is its price. Hyundai retails the manual model for ₹13.79 lakh while the automatic model costs ₹15.04 lakh (ex-showroom). This is much lesser than the top-of-the-line SX(O) variant, yet brings many of its premium features.
Other Feature Upgrade Across Models
Hyundai is also introducing the wired-to-wireless adapter with other models like Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Aura, Venue (including N Line), and Alcazar. This move underlines Hyundai’s aim to enhance connectivity and convenience across its entire portfolio, not just premium models.
