Challans: Blowing off traffic rules may not be a big issue at first, but doing the same thing again and again may cost you more than a ticket. Most drivers do not know that their driving license can indeed be revoked if they continue violating rules. So before you take your car on the road once again, here’s what you need to know.

How Many Challans Can Result in License Revocation?

Repeatedly violating traffic rules can land your driving license in jeopardy. In most states, if you get three consecutive challans, your license may be cancelled. Some states act tougher if multiple challans are filed against the same person. These challans may be served by traffic police personnel or automated cameras installed on roads. If unpaid, they may accumulate and lead to action against your license.

What If Your License Is Cancelled?

If your driving license is cancelled, you will have to apply again. Sometimes you even have to submit a request in court. It’s not only a financial inconvenience but also a legal one. That’s why it is always wise to abide by traffic rules and clear challans on time.
