New Delhi: There is a huge demand for motorcycles in India, and people seem very keen to buy them. In the changing times, despite the decline in the number of anti-level models for many years, computerised bikes have been selling a lot. Now Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, which is counted among the country’s big auto companies, is also seen working on a new 100cc bike for India.

Its design and some latest features are expected to be very special. According to some reports, this new 100cc bike from Honda will be placed slightly higher than the Shine 100 launched two years ago. Anyway, now only 100cc bikes are present in Honda’s lineup. It has been limited to only a few models. These include Harp, Splendour, Bajaj Platina and Bajaj City100.

Features of the Honda 100cc bike

Honda will focus on launching two-wheeler petrol variant bikes in the coming few years. The company has refused to launch electric motorcycles in the future. A few days ago, there was a discussion that Honda would launch its electric bikes, but now it is not expected to happen at all. Anyway, Hero MotoCorp has become the leader in the 100-110 cc motorcycle segment.

It seems to be working to gain 78per centtt market share through its populSplendourdor lineup. This segment is also gradually seeing a decline. Its contribution to total motorcycle sales in the financial year 2025 has been more thanper centcent. Honda Bike and Scooter India currently has a 6 per cent share in this category. Honda’s 100 cc bike is likely to compete directly with Hero’s variants.

When will Honda’s new bike knock?

Honda is going to launch not one but two bikes. It includes an updated and a completely new model. No detailed information has been revealed on the upcoming launch yet. According to an estimate, at least one of these models could be a Big Wing motorcycle.

Along with this, 16 models can also be included in the Big Wing range at present. These include fully imported CBUs like Hornet SP1000, Gold Wing XL 750 Transalp and Africa Twin. It is expected to get a good response from the customers.
