Honda City Sport 2025 Launched : Honda Cars India has launched a new and special variant of Honda City, Honda City Sport, in the Indian market. The company has designed it with sporty design and advanced features, which makes this car look quite different from the rest of the variants of the City series. Not only styling changes have been made in this model, but the theme inside and the driving experience have also been improved a lot.
Available as a limited edition
Honda City Sport has been launched as a limited unit. It can be purchased only in automatic transmission (CVT) option. Talking about color options, this car has been introduced in three attractive colors – Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Meteoroid Grey Metallic. The company has said that this is a limited edition, which will be limited to only a few units.
Special changes in exterior design
The City Sport variant has been introduced in a completely new and aggressive look. Black elements have been added at many places from its front grill to the rear. A small spoiler has been installed at the rear which further enhances its sporty look. Also, shark fin antenna and ORVMs (side mirrors) have been given in black color. Apart from this, multi-spoke gray alloy wheels and “Sport” badging give this vehicle a distinct identity.
All-black theme and red stitching in the interior
The interior of Honda City Sport has a completely black finish which gives a sporty feel in line with its name. Premium black leather seats have been provided inside the cabin, which have red color stitching. Red highlights are also seen on the steering wheel and door pads. Roof lining and pillars have also been designed in a dark shade. Apart from this, dark red color garnish and glossy black AC vents have been given on the dashboard, which make it even more stunning.
A special feature of this variant is that it has 7-color ambient lighting which keeps changing in rhythm with the music and gives an energetic atmosphere to the cabin.
Engine and performance information
The same 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine has been installed in this sport variant which is found in the rest of Honda’s city cars. This engine generates 121 horsepower and 145 Newton meter torque. This engine supports E20 fuel (20% ethanol mix). Talking about transmission, it gets a CVT gearbox, which can be driven with paddle shifters.
This car is also better in terms of fuel efficiency and according to the company, it can cover a distance of about 18.4 kilometers in one liter of petrol.
Safety features are also great
Safety has also been taken care of in the Honda City Sport variant. Honda’s Advanced Driving Assist System (Honda SENSING) has been included in it. This system has many modern features such as Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking. All these technologies together make driving safer and easier.
What is the price and market position
The starting ex-showroom price of the Honda City Sport variant has been kept at ₹ 14.88 lakh. This price takes it slightly above the other City variants, but considering its special design and features, it can be considered a premium upgrade.
