Honda Activa Tops Sales: Indian scooter industry continues to face cutthroat competition, but by real numbers, there is one model that continues to rule the roads month after month. The recent sales figures for June 2025 show that this scooter outsold all the other models, right from top-selling brands like Jupiter, Access, to even electric scooters like Ola and iQube.
Activa Leads the Pack Again
Honda Activa in June 2025 was still India’s best-selling scooter. It sold more than 1.83 lakh units in the month. Although it decreased by over 50,000 units from June 2024, it still dominates the market with a share of 38.81%. Notwithstanding 21.47% annual degrowth, no other scooter approached its sales figure.
TVS Jupiter Exhibits Steady Growth
TVS Jupiter took the second position in the list. It sold 1,07,980 units in June 2025, registering an increase of 49.76% compared to last year’s June. In June 2024, the model sold 72,100 units, so this year’s increase indicates its growing demand in Indian buyers.
How Other Scooters Performed
Suzuki Access ranked third with 51,555 units, having dipped slightly from the previous year’s 52,192 units. Its market share stayed constant at 10.92%, dropping marginally by 1.22%. Honda Dio had 24,278 units, a 25.49% fall from its June 2024 sales.
TVS Ntorq, another favorite brand, sold 22,822 units in June 2025, down from last year’s 27,812 units, marking an 17.94% fall.
Electric Models in the List
Electric scooters are gradually picking up pace. Bajaj Chetak did well with 17,864 units, a growth of 7.03% from last year. TVS iQube and Ola S1 also featured in the top-10 list but registered falling sales.
TVS iQube retailed 14,244 units, whereas Ola S1 retailed 20,190 units, a steep drop from its 36,859 units in June 2024. This puts Ola at the bottom of the top-10 list with a 45.22% fall.
Overall Sales Snapshot
Together, the top-10 selling scooter models of June 2025 sold 4,72,205 units, which is 44,921 units lower than June 2024. This translates to a total market decline of 8.69%. All the same, scooters such as Activa and Jupiter continue to command strong customer trust and preference.
