Hero VX2 Offer: Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle brand Vida has just introduced its cheapest electric scooter, the Vida VX2, on 2nd July 2025. The company grabbed the headlines once again within a span of just seven days by declaring a ₹15,000 price reduction, which made this urbanized scooter even more affordable for price-sensitive customers.
BAAS Plan Brings Humongous Price Reduction
The Vida VX2 was originally priced at an ex-showroom rate of ₹99,490. Under Hero’s Battery as a Service program, the customers were even given the option to lease the battery, reducing the starting price to ₹59,490.
Now, with the price revision latest, the base Go model under BAAS is offered at merely ₹44,990 + battery rental, giving customers a straightaway advantage of ₹15,000. The Plus model now begins at ₹57,990 + battery rental. On the other hand, the complete ownership option without BAAS is still at ₹99,490.
Stylish and Family-Friendly Design
The VX2 features a contemporary and functional design appropriate for families and commuters for the city. Taking inspiration from the Vida Z concept revealed at EICMA 2024, its appearance is close to the Vida V2.
Customers have seven bright colors to pick from, namely Nexus Blue, Matte White, Orange, Matte Lime, Pearl Black, and Pearl Red. Metallic Grey and Orange colors are reserved specifically for the Plus version.
Suspension and Braking Setup
The scooter has 12-inch alloy wheels at either end for riding. Suspension comes in the form of dual telescopic forks at the front and adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Braking across models varies. The Plus model includes a front disc and rear drum brake, while the Go model receives drum brakes on either wheel. Under-seat storage capacity is also large, at 27.2L in Plus and 33.2L in Go.
Power and Performance
A Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor drives the Vida VX2, supplying 6kW of power and 25Nm torque. Performance is crisp – the Go version goes from 0 to 40kmph in 4.2 seconds, while the Plus version achieves the feat in a mere 3.1 seconds.
The scooter has a top speed of 80kmph, which is perfect for city riding.
Ride Modes and Range
The Plus model has three ride modes: Eco, Ride, and Sport, whereas the Go model does not have the Sport mode.
For range, the Go model has a 2.2kWh removable battery pack and provides:
- 92km IDC range
