Hero MotoCorp is expanding its range of electric vehicles to further strengthen its hold in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company previously launched the Vida VX2 scooter and is now preparing to enter the electric motorcycle segment with the Hero Vida Ubex. The company recently released a teaser of this bike on social media, which was removed shortly after, but the bike has been generating buzz ever since.

Design of the Hero Vida Ubex

The Hero Vida Ubex will be a stylish roadster or streetfighter bike, appealing to young riders with its design and aggressive look. The company showcased its silhouette in the teaser, suggesting it is based on a production-ready design. The bike will feature elements such as alloy wheels, a single-piece seat, tire huggers, and a robust guard.

Suspension duties will include USD telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Both wheels will feature petal disc brakes. A mid-mounted electric motor will be connected to the rear wheel via a belt drive system. This setup will provide a smooth and quiet riding experience.

Performance and Range

Official details regarding Hero Vida Ubex’s performance have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to offer power comparable to petrol bikes in the 200cc segment. It is believed to have a range of approximately 200 kilometers, which is sufficient for both city and highway conditions.

This Hero electric bike is being developed in partnership with Zero Motorcycles. This collaboration is known for its advanced electric motor and performance technology, making the Vida Ubex a premium and high-performance option in its segment.

Launch and Competition

According to reports, the Vida Ubex could compete directly with the Ola Roadster. Many questions have been raised about Ola’s service and quality, which could give Hero a strong position in this area.

The company may showcase it as a concept at the EICMA show in November 2025. If everything goes as planned, the Hero Vida Ubex could be launched in the Indian market in 2026. This bike will add a new chapter to Hero’s electric portfolio.

Hero Electric Concept Lineup

Before the Vida Ubex, Hero’s Vida division has introduced several concept models, such as the Vida Lynx (an electric adventure bike) and the Vida Acro (a compact mini electric bike). However, the Ubex is considered to be the most production-ready concept to date, making it clear that Hero is now ready to make a strong entry into the electric motorcycle segment.
