GST Rate Cut: Honda Shine 125 Price Drops by ₹6,000 — Check New On-Road Price

The Central Government has provided significant relief to consumers by amending the GST. This major change will prove extremely important not only for individual buyers but also for two-wheeler buyers. Until now, small bikes were subject to a 28 percent GST, but under the new rules, this has been reduced to 18 percent. This will directly impact bikes up to 125cc sold in the market. These bikes are most popular among middle-class families because they are affordable, offer excellent mileage, and boast excellent durability.

The Honda Shine 125 has been a popular choice in the segment. Its demand is particularly high among middle-class families. Its mileage is considered better than that of other bikes, making it a pocket-friendly option. With the GST reduction, this bike will now become even more affordable, reducing the financial burden on customers and increasing sales significantly.

What will be the direct impact on prices

To understand the real impact of this major change, we spoke with the showroom manager. Manager Tabrez Alam explained that the current ex-showroom price of the Honda CB Shine 125 is ₹84,890. After adding registration, insurance, accessories, and warranty charges, its on-road price reaches ₹1,07,730.

However, when GST 2.0 comes into effect from November 22, 2025, the ex-showroom price will see a significant reduction of approximately ₹6,100. After including insurance, registration, and other charges, the bike’s on-road price will drop to approximately ₹1,02,685.

Direct benefit of ₹6,000 to customers

This means that after the implementation of the new GST slab, customers will experience direct savings of approximately ₹6,000 on the purchase of the Honda Shine 125. This relief is especially important for middle-class and small-town families who purchase vehicles with a budget in mind. Now, it will be easier for them to access their favorite bike.

Experts believe that this GST reduction will not only boost bike sales but also revitalize the entire automobile market. The impact of this decision will be more visible in the state’s smaller cities and towns, where two-wheelers are the primary mode of transportation. Overall, consumers will directly benefit from the implementation of GST 2.0, and popular bikes like the Honda Shine 125 will become more accessible.
