FASTag : Nowadays technology is growing so fast that everything is changing. The government has also taken a great step – it has implemented the FASTag rule on toll tax! This FASTag rule has been started jointly by the National Corporation of India (NPCI) and the Ministry of Road Transport. This saves people from standing in queues for hours at toll plazas and also protects them from fraud.

But do you know how this FASTag works and how money is deducted from it? Come, today we will tell you the whole funda of FASTag!

What is FASTag and how does it work?

FASTag is an electronic toll collection system. It is made of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. When your vehicle reaches the toll booth, it automatically deducts the toll tax. The government has started this system so that the traffic at the toll plaza is reduced and digital payment is promoted. And people are also liking this system a lot!

How to use FASTag?

This is a sticker, which you have to put on the front windscreen of your vehicle.

The radio frequency identification scanners installed at the toll plaza scan this sticker as soon as your vehicle reaches the toll booth.

As soon as it is scanned, the toll amount is deducted from your FASTag account.

As soon as the payment is successful, an SMS is sent to your registered mobile number and the toll gate opens, and you pass through comfortably!

What benefits did people get?

After the implementation of the FASTag system, the problem of traffic jam at the toll booth has reduced to a great extent. Now people do not have to stand in long queues. This is saving people’s time and also providing an easy way of digital payment. Isn’t it an amazing facility?
