Ducati DesertX Rally Suspension and Chassis
The bike is designed for various surfaces with components suitable for adventure riders. It receives a beak-style front mudguard and long-travel Kayaba suspension. Both front and rear suspension provide 20 mm of additional travel, enhancing comfort and handling on rough roads. The newly engineered central-spoke wheels make the motorcycle more flexible than usual alloy wheels, making the bike stable on uneven roads.
Ducati DesertX Rally Engine
Notwithstanding other features such as forged carbon sump guard, an improved rear brake lever, and machined gear pedals, the bike is only 1 kg heavier than the standard model. It has a 937 cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine. This configuration produces 108 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. Its riders can also have easy highway cruising, underscoring its twin capability for both adventure and long-distance touring.
Ducati DesertX Rally Riding Modes
For varying riding scenarios, Ducati has fitted the DesertX Rally with six modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, and Rally. Safety and control features comprise Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, and Ducati Wheelie Control. For connectivity, there is a 5-inch TFT display with Ducati Multimedia System. It offers smartphone pairing, music listening, call management, and optional turn-by-turn navigation.
