Meanwhile, North Bengal is still feeling the chill, with some areas expecting light rain.

South Bengal Weather

In South Bengal, temperatures are set to climb over the next few days, with a rise of 2-4 degrees expected, especially from Thursday. Nights will still have a bit of a chill, but daytime warmth will lessen the winter vibe. The call of the cuckoo hints at spring’s arrival, which meteorologists see as a sign that winter is winding down.

Foggy conditions will linger in several districts of South Bengal on Tuesday, with light to moderate fog anticipated in places like Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, and a few others. However, daytime temperatures are expected to be slightly above normal.

North Bengal Weather

In contrast, North Bengal is still in the grip of winter. Light rain is possible in the hilly regions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong over the next day, with a chance of light snowfall in the higher elevations of Darjeeling. Fog will also be present in Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Uttar Dinajpur, but the Meteorological Department predicts no significant temperature changes in the coming five days.

Kolkata

As for Kolkata, today’s minimum temperature is 17.4 degrees Celsius, which is a bit below average. The maximum temperature reached 27.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday. While rain isn’t expected, fog will be a constant presence.
