When will the bookings start
Volkswagen had closed the booking of the first batch of 150 units as soon as it started, because the demand was so high that all the cars were booked in a few days. Now the company has started preparations for the second consignment, which will include 100 units. Its booking will start by the end of this year, although delivery will be available only in 2026.
Performanance
The Golf GTI Mk 8.5 will come to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and is powered by a 2.0L turbo-charged petrol engine that produces 265 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque. Its 7-speed DSG automatic transmission propels it from 0-100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds!
