Launch
First of all, talking about its launch, Kia has not yet officially released any date, but according to reports, the second-generation Seltos can be launched in the second half of 2026. This compact SUV is already famous for its aggressive design and features, but the new model will take it one step further.
Design
Talking about its design, spy shots have revealed that the design language of the new Seltos will be inspired by the Kia EV5. Some special changes that can be seen are as follows
- Long and slim LED tail lamps that extend from the rear window to the bumper
- Upright front fascia, similar to the one seen on the Kia Telluride
- Newly designed alloy wheels
- Slightly longer body, which could increase cabin space

Engine
Now let’s talk about its engine, the new generation Kia Seltos will see some big changes in the powertrain section. The biggest news is that Kia is going to introduce hybrid technology in Seltos this time. In which three engine options will be available – the first is a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine which will be inspired by the Hyundai Kona Hybrid and will give 141 bhp power. This engine will provide better fuel efficiency for urban driving.
The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine (158 bhp) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (114 bhp) found in the current model will also be continued in the new version. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed clutchless manual (iMT), 7-speed DCT automatic and CVT gearbox. The hybrid version is likely to come with a smooth CVT transmission, which will make driving in cities even more comfortable.
