Mahindra Vision T Concept SUV to Unveil on August 15 – Thar.e Electric Preview

The company will unveil four all-new concept SUVs, the updated Bolero Neo, and the all-new Freedom NU platform. The Mahindra Vision range has already been teased, revealing key design details that have sparked excitement among enthusiasts.

Engine Setup and Platform

The Mahindra Vision T concept is expected to preview the Thar.e electric SUV. This model is based on the modified INGLO platform, which also supports the BE 6 and XEV 9e. It will likely have a wheelbase between 2,775 mm and 2,975 mm, offering a spacious cabin. The setup will be suitable for both city drives and off-road use, keeping in line with Mahindra’s rugged image.

Mileage and Range

Although exact battery specifications are yet to be revealed, the Thar.e electric SUV is expected to offer a competitive driving range suitable for long-distance travel. Built for varied terrains, the range will support both urban and adventure usage. The electric powertrain is aimed to deliver strong performance while maintaining efficiency.

Other Specifications

The Vision T concept will carry a squarish bonnet with bonnet latches, rugged wheel arches, and all-terrain tyres. The front will feature a two-part grille with horizontal slats, inspired by the Thar Roxx, along with headlamps having squarish lighting elements and vertical detailing. At the rear, the design will be completed with matching taillamps, a tailgate-mounted spare tyre, and a tailgate handle similar to the original Thar.e concept.

Price and Offer

While Mahindra has not yet disclosed the final pricing, the Thar.e electric is expected to start at around Rs 18 lakh for the base variant and could go up to Rs 25 lakh for the top-spec model. This positions it as a premium lifestyle SUV rather than a budget EV. Launch offers will be revealed closer to the official market entry.

Inside, the Thar.e concept features a flat three-spoke steering wheel, a minimal dashboard design with grab handles, a central touchscreen, and a prominent central tunnel. The design aims for durability and practicality while giving a modern and tech-forward cabin experience.
