The journey from education to dreams

Ruby Yadav studied up to the intermediate level. After completing her studies, her dream was to join the police department. She prepared diligently for it, but due to some reasons, she was not selected. After this, she got married and became busy with her domestic life. However, the disappointment of not being able to get a job lingered in her mind, but she did not let herself become weak.

Disappointment in the first attempt

After marriage, Ruby joined a self-help group and started making savory snacks. Initially, she thought this business would provide her with financial support, but after some time, the work stopped. One failure after another certainly troubled her, but instead of giving up, she asked herself what she could do that she would enjoy and that would also generate income.

Turning a hobby into a livelihood

Since childhood, Ruby had an interest in sewing, embroidery, and beauty parlor work. She decided to turn her hobby into a business. For this, she took training in beauty parlor services and started a small parlor in one room of her house. She also started sewing, embroidery, and knitting. Gradually, women from the surrounding areas started coming to her, and the scope of her work expanded.

Life changed in a few months

Ruby says that she started the beauty parlor business about seven to eight months ago. Today, her parlor is running successfully, and the number of customers is constantly increasing. She believes that it is not wrong to dream, but patience and hard work are necessary to fulfill them. Instead of fearing failure, learning from it and moving forward is the real key to success.

Ruby is empowering women

Today, Ruby Yadav is the president of the Bhumi Self-Help Group. 10 to 12 women are working regularly through her group. In addition, 20 to 25 girls and women are receiving training in tailoring, embroidery, and beauty parlor services at her center.
