On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, devotees wake up early, take a bath and wear clean clothes before beginning their worship.
Start by offering prayers to Lord Vishnu and bathe the deity with Ganga water. Offer flowers, tulsi leaves, yellow clothes and sweets to the Lord. It is essential to take a sankalp (vow) for the fast, expressing devotion and commitment for the entire day.
Listening to the Mokshada Ekadashi Vrat Katha holds great significance. Devotees observing the fast should avoid grains and instead rely on fruits, water, or light fasting foods. Spend the day chanting mantras, singing bhajans and meditating on Lord Vishnu.
In the evening, perform another round of Vishnu Puja, and the fast should be broken the next morning after sunrise during the paran time.
