Weather Forecast – Heavy Rain Warning in 13 States on June 19-24, Full State-Wise Update

Weather Forecast: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe alert for heavy rain across more than 15 states of the country until June. Thunderstorms and lightning alerts have also been issued for some states.

Weather Forecast: The Met Department has issued an alert for rain in several states of the country. The maximum temperature has dropped due to continuous rains in the plains and hill states, bringing considerable relief to the people. The Met Department has issued an alert in view of heavy rains at some places in northeast India and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during this week. Meanwhile, the Met department has predicted heat wave conditions in some isolated areas of Vidarbha and Telangana till June 20.

Delhi-NCR has been receiving intermittent rain over the past few days. People have found relief from the scorching heat. The Met Department has issued an alert for light rain with strong winds in Delhi for the next week. Meanwhile, a heavy rain alert has been issued in the northeastern states and Bihar.

Rain warning in these states

– According to the Met Department, an alert has been issued for rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad during June 18-22. In addition, there may be lightning and strong winds (speed 40-50 kmph increasing to 60 kmph) at times

– According to the Met Department, Himachal Pradesh may experience heavy rains on June 20-21.

– An alert has been issued for rain in Uttarakhand during June 18-24. Hail is likely at isolated places in Uttarakhand.

– Rain is likely at isolated places in eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab, western Rajasthan and western Uttar Pradesh during June 18-22. Lightning and strong winds (speed increasing from 40-50 kmph to 60 kmph) may prevail.

– The Met Department on June 18-19 and June 24 in eastern Uttar Pradesh; On June 24, eastern Uttar Pradesh may experience isolated rain.

– An alert has been issued for rain at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during June 18-24. Rain and lightning are likely at isolated places in these states.

– An alert has been issued for rain at isolated places in Konkan and Goa during June 18-23. In addition, during June 18-24, an alert has also been issued for rain in Saurashtra and Kutch.

Heavy rainfall alert in these 13 states (till June 24)

The Met Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 13 states of the country during the period from June 18 to 24. An alert has been issued for heavy rain across parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during June 18-19 and June 21-23. Assam and Meghalaya: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely between June 19 and 22. Heavy rain is also forecast on June 23 and June 24.

Heavy rain alert in Kerala and Mahe on June 18. Heavy rain is forecast from June 21 to 23. Heavy rains are expected in Bihar from June 18 to 20. An alert has been issued for heavy rains in coastal Karnataka from June 21 to 24, while in southern interior Karnataka on June 18 and June 21-22 and in northern interior Karnataka on June 21-22. Heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on June 19.
