Ayushman Bharat: There is a big update for Ayushman Bharat card holders. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana (ABY) has been launched for the poor and needy families of the country. Under this scheme, every eligible family receives cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually. This has made expensive hospital expenses affordable for even the common man. The aim of this scheme is to ensure that no one is deprived of treatment due to lack of money. Today, millions of people have benefited from this scheme and have been able to receive treatment for many serious illnesses without financial burden.
This scheme eliminates the need for poor families to spend their savings or take out loans to treat serious illnesses. The government launched this scheme in 2018. The Ayushman Bharat scheme provides better healthcare facilities to economically weaker sections. Under this scheme, government and private hospitals across the country have been linked, where beneficiaries can receive free treatment. If you wish to benefit from this scheme, it’s important to first determine whether your family’s name is included in the new list.
Treatment facility will be available through Ayushman card
Now the question is how to make an Ayushman card. First, you need to visit the official website to check whether you’re eligible for the scheme. This requires entering your mobile number and some basic information. If you’re found eligible, you can get your card made through the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or hospital. Your registration will be done there based on your Aadhaar card and other required documents. Your Ayushman card will be issued shortly. Additionally, many states now offer this facility online, where you can register yourself and download the digital card.

How to get Ayushman Card online?
- First, you’ll need to install the Ayushman app on your phone. This is a government-run app.
- Then you have to select the language of your choice.
- After this, after clicking on login, you will have to click on Beneficiary.
- After this you will have to fill captcha and mobile number.
- After this, the Search for Nemeficiary page will open. Here, you will need to select PM-JAY as the scheme.
- After this you will have to select your state and district and by entering your Aadhar number you will be able to login to the app.
- You’ll see the Ayushman cards of your household members in the app. You’ll see “Authenticate” written next to the names of those who haven’t already made an Ayushman card.
- If you see Authenticate written next to a member’s name, tap it and enter their Aadhaar number. You will then receive an OTP. After entering that OTP, a photo of the member will be clicked.
- Next, you’ll need to enter the member’s mobile number and their relationship to you. After completing e-KYC, you’ll need to submit the form.
- After all the information is verified within a week, you can also download that member’s card from this app.
How to check your name?
If you want to check whether your family is eligible for this scheme from home, the online process has now become very simple.
- You simply need to visit the official web portal of the Ayushman Yojana (pmjay.gov.in) or download the Ayushman App.
- There, go to the “Am I Eligible” option and enter your active mobile number.
- You will then receive an OTP on your mobile number, which upon entering will open the eligibility verification page. Here, you can select your state and search for yourself and your family’s name in the entire list using your ration card number, mobile number, or name.
- Those who do not have internet access or who have difficulty checking online can also visit their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or any Ayushman Center located in a government hospital for a free eligibility check.
