Aarogya Setu 2.0: The upcoming release of the Aarogya Setu app on June 29th will shift its focus from being a COVID-19 tracker to a personal health record (PHR) app. The app is designed to establish ABHAI accounts, manage digital health records, and offer AI-generated insights to enhance healthcare accessibility. The updated version aims to improve coordination between hospitals and laboratories. Originally introduced during the COVID-19 outbreak, the app is now set to embark on a new direction.
Key Features of the Updated Version
1. Transformation into a personal health record (PHR) platform, enabling users to consolidate all health records in one location.
2. Introduction of other major digital health platforms via the app to make healthcare services more readily available.
3. Provision for users to establish and oversee Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA).

AI-Generated Health Insights:
The new app will provide AI-generated health insights, empowering users to track their health status. It will collect data from wearable devices and facilitate outpatient registration and hospital payments through in-app scanning features, streamlining the process for patients seeking medical care.
Simplified Search for Hospitals and Doctors:
Users can easily locate nearby hospitals, doctors, ambulances, and blood banks through the app. Ayushman Bharat benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) can be accessed directly through the app, offering features like cashless treatment and a digital insurance wallet.

Inclusion of “Ayushman CAPF” Scheme Details:
The app will provide information on the “Ayushman CAPF” scheme, benefiting personnel from eight CAPF forces and their families with cashless healthcare services at designated facilities. This app plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services.
The new Aarogya Setu app launch will contribute to making healthcare services more user-friendly and accessible. By leveraging AI and other technologies, the app ensures a seamless healthcare experience for users.
How will it help in an emergency?
Aarogya Setu 2.0 is not limited to health records. The app will allow users to search for nearby hospitals, clinics, doctors, and diagnostic centers. It also allows for blood unit availability through e-RaktKosh and the ability to book an ambulance if needed. The app also allows for multiple family members to be added to a single account. The My Consent feature allows users to decide with whom and when to share their health data. This will ensure the privacy and security of individuals’ medical data.
