Maruti Suzuki e Vitara vs MG ZS EV – The era of electric cars has become the present, not the future. Rising petrol-diesel prices and environmental concerns are pulling people towards EV. In such a situation, two big names are in discussion Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and MG ZS EV.
On one side, the first mainstream electric SUV of the country’s largest car manufacturer, on the other side, the premium EV already installed in the market. So who knows who is better for you.
Design and Style
The design of the new Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is futuristic and sleek. Closed grills, sharp LED lights and aerodynamic bodies give it a modern EV look.
At the same time, the design of MG ZS EV seems more premium and mature. Its large grill, signature LED headlamps and strong stance give it a distinct identity on the road.

If you like the fresh and youthful look, e Vitara will attract. But if Royal and Premium Appeal are required, then ZS EV has a different style.
Interior and Features
The emphasis of new technology appears in the cabin of e Vitara. It is expected to have a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and connected features. Maruti is preparing to make its new EV take-loaded, so that it can directly compete with the premium segment.
on the other hand MG ZS EV is already a feature-packed SUV. It features a large touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and ADAS features. The ZS EV currently has a slight edge in terms of its sound quality and cabin finishing.
Battery, Range and Performance
Maruti e Vitara is likely to receive a mid-size battery pack, which can give a range of about 400–500 kilometers. The same MG ZS EV gets a battery pack of around 50 kWh, giving a range of about 460 km (ARAI).
In terms of performance, the ZS EV’s electric motor gives fast acceleration and smooth drive. If e Vitara gives range and power as promised, it can be more interesting.

Price
The estimated EX-showroom price of Maruti Suzuki e Vitara can start at around Rs 20 lakh and the top variant can go up to around Rs 25 lakh.
EX-showroom price of MG ZS EV starts at around Rs 18.98 lakh and goes up to Rs 25-26 lakh, according to the variants. Here ZS EV has the advantage of experience, while e Vitara can attract customers on the basis of brand trust and service network.
