Ayushman Card Made Easy, Ration Dealers, ASHA Workers and Anganwadi Assistants to Help with Registration

Ayushman Card: Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), it’s now easier for eligible individuals to obtain an Ayushman card. The district health department has assigned the responsibility of card-making to ration dealers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi assistants, PHC Sakhis, community health officers, and even pharmacists in rural areas. For this purpose, 1,156 operator IDs have been created, and selected individuals are being trained. Let us now explain how it will be easier to obtain an Ayushman card with the help of ration dealers, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi assistants.

Free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh

According to the Health Department, each family receives free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually at government and private hospitals identified under the scheme. A separate Ayushman card is issued for each family member, providing access to cashless treatment.

Special campaign for 100% target

On government instructions, a special campaign is being run to create Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards. However, many eligible families still lack cards and have to visit health centers. To achieve this goal, more people have been added at the local level. Now, those in need can obtain an Ayushman card by visiting their nearest ration dealer or designated health worker. All Antyodaya card holders and pink and red ration card holders below the poverty line are eligible under this scheme. Senior citizens over 70, Uttar Pradesh state employees, and other ration card holders can also check their eligibility online and obtain a card.

You can also make cards sitting at home

The process of creating an Ayushman card is digital and can be completed via mobile. To do this, download the Ayushman app. After selecting the language in the app, click on the beneficiary option and log in with your mobile number. Then, select the PMJAY scheme and select the state and district. Entering your Aadhaar number will display a list of family members. For those who haven’t already received a card, you can complete e-KYC by clicking on the option provided, performing Aadhaar-based OTP verification, and uploading a photo. Once the application is submitted, the verification process is complete, and the card can be downloaded.

These documents are necessary

Aadhaar card, ration card, mobile number, and passport-size photo are required to obtain an Ayushman card. Having an e-Shram card, labor card, or other government identification card makes it even easier to prove eligibility.

When does the limit come in Ayushman card?

  • The Ayushman card’s Rs 5 lakh limit is renewed every year.
  • This limit is mentioned in your Ayushman card every financial year.
  • If your limit is exhausted before the next limit arrives, you have to wait for the next limit to arrive.
