CTET Exam 2026 Update – Paper 2 Postponed at 2 Centres, CBSE Announces Re-Exam Within 15 Days

CTET Paper 2 Postponed: The CBSE has postponed the CTET exam scheduled for February 7th at two centers. The board shared this information on its X (formerly Twitter) handle. The board stated on the social media platform X that the new time and schedule for the exam will be communicated directly to these candidates by the CBSE. The board expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to these candidates. So, the question now is, when will the CTET exam be conducted again? Let’s find out which two centres had their CTET exams postponed, and within how many days the exam will be held again?

Information from CBSE HQ

The post stated that, out of 1803 CTET examination centres across the country, Paper-2 was successfully conducted at 1801 centres. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, the Paper-2 examination could not be conducted at 02 centres in Vaishali (Hajipur) (125016 – St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar and 125014 – Lakshya International Academy). The re-examination for the candidates allotted to these 02 centers will be conducted within 15 days. The revised examination schedule will be communicated to the concerned candidates separately. We regret the inconvenience caused to these candidates.

This incident took place at the St. John’s Academy examination center in Keshopur, Vaishali district. The CTET exam was scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM. More than a thousand candidates had arrived at the center before time, but even after the scheduled time had passed, the question papers and answer sheets had not arrived at the center. As no clear information was received until 11 AM, the candidates’ frustration grew. The atmosphere became tense, and soon chaos erupted at the examination centre.

Candidates’ Protest
Angry at the delay in the exam, the candidates started raising slogans, accusing the education department and the district administration of negligence. Upon receiving information about the commotion, the local police arrived at the scene. Later, when the officials arrived with the question papers, the candidates refused to take the exam and collectively boycotted it.
