Gold and Silver Rates, February 2: After soaring to record highs, gold and silver prices are now in a continuous decline. This is great news for those planning to buy jewellery before the wedding season. The wedding season is underway, and amidst this, gold and silver prices are seeing a continuous decline. Gold and silver prices also fell in the bullion market today. 24-karat gold is Rs 6427 cheaper today, Monday. Today, February 2nd, marks the third consecutive day of decline in the gold and silver markets. On February 2nd, silver futures prices fell by approximately Rs 23,000. Additionally, the price of 1 kg of silver has come down to Rs 2.41 lakh. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), one kilogram of silver was recorded at Rs 2,36,496. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold remains at Rs 1,42,270.

Gold Rs 30,000 and Silver Rs 1.60 Lakh Cheaper
On the Multi-Commodity Exchange, gold prices have fallen by Rs 30,000 in two days. On January 29th, it had reached Rs 1.69 lakh, which is now trading at Rs 1.40 lakh. Silver prices have declined by Rs 1.60 lakh. On January 29th, it had reached Rs 4.01 lakh per kg, which is now trading at Rs 2.40 lakh.

Including GST, the price of silver today is Rs 243590 per kg. While the rate of 24-karat gold, including GST, is now Rs 146538 per 10 grams. On Sunday, silver closed at Rs 265751 without GST. Gold closed at Rs 148,697 per 10 grams, excluding GST. Silver has become cheaper by Rs 149,437 in 4 days.
In the last 4 days, gold has fallen by Rs 33,851 from its all-time high of Rs 176,121 in the bullion market. Meanwhile, silver has become cheaper by Rs 149,437 from its all-time high of Rs 385,933 per kg on January 29th.

What are the latest gold rates today?
According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 23-carat gold opened today at Rs 141,700 per 10 grams, down Rs 6,402. With GST, its price has now reached Rs 145,951. Additionally, 22-carat gold is now Rs 5,887 cheaper at Rs 130,319 per 10 grams. With GST, it is Rs 134,228. Furthermore, 18-carat gold opened at Rs 106,703 per 10 grams after a drop of Rs 4,820, and after adding GST, the price has reached Rs 109,904 per 10 grams. The rate for 14-carat gold opened at Rs 83,228, down Rs 3,760, and, including GST, it will be available at Rs 85,724 per 10 grams.
