UPSC CSE Interview Reschedule: The Union Public Service Commission has made a partial change to the schedule of the Civil Services Examination interviews, also known as the Personality Test. According to the notification, a specific interview session scheduled for January 22, 2026, has been postponed. This change will apply to candidates whose interviews were scheduled for the afternoon shift on January 22, 2026. It is being said that this decision was taken due to the Republic Day parade rehearsals.
According to the issued notification, the interview scheduled for the afternoon shift on January 22, 2026, will now be held on February 27, 2026, in the morning shift.
The online application process will begin as soon as the notification is released.
Who can apply?
To appear for this UPSC examination, candidates must fulfil certain basic conditions prescribed by the commission.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a graduate degree from any recognised university. Students in their final year can also apply for the preliminary examination.
Age Limit: The age limit for general category candidates is 21 to 32 years. However, OBC candidates will get a 3-year age relaxation, SC/ST candidates will get a 5-year age relaxation, and candidates with disabilities will get age relaxation as per the rules.
Number of Attempts
General/EWS: 6 attempts.
OBC: 9 attempts.
SC/ST: Unlimited attempts (until the age limit is reached).
UPSC CSE Interview Reschedule: How to fill out the application form?
1. Go to the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in
2. First, register yourself on the ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) platform.
3. Click on the ‘Civil Services Examination 2026’ link.
4. Fill out the application form in two parts (Part I and Part II).
5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and identity proof.
6. Select your examination centre and pay the application fee to submit the form.
