The England Under-19 team started their campaign for the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 with a resounding 37-run win against Pakistan. This was the seventh match of the tournament, played in Harare on Friday (January 16). The match was quite dramatic and ended in a bizarre manner. A video of this incident is now going viral on social media.

That run out cost Pakistan the match

Batting first, England were all out for 210 in 46.5 overs. Pakistan ‘s disciplined bowling kept England under pressure for most of the innings. Middle-order batsman Caleb Faulkner played a composed innings of 66 runs off 73 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes. Ahmed Hussain took 3/38 for Pakistan, while Ali Raza (2/36), Abdul Subhan (2/24), and Momin Qamar (2/45) also bowled impressively.

In reply, Pakistan got off to a good start, with captain Farhan Yousuf playing a key role. He kept the team close to the target with a fighting 65. However, he was dismissed in the 41st over, and the match turned in England ‘s favor. This put pressure on the lower order, and the opening pair of Momin Qamar and Ali Raza couldn’t last long.
