Aadhaar Card WhatsApp: Aadhaar, a key identification document for Indian citizens, is now more accessible than ever. The Indian government has introduced a new feature that lets citizens download Aadhaar directly via WhatsApp.

This service is offered through the official MyGov Helpdesk chatbot, making it super convenient for millions of WhatsApp users. In the past, people had to go to the UIDAI website or use the DigiLocker app to get their Aadhaar card.

But now, with this new feature, you can download Aadhaar and other DigiLocker-related documents straight from WhatsApp without switching to another app. This is particularly helpful for those who often use WhatsApp in their daily lives.

What do you need to get started?

To use this service, you need the following:

Your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

An active DigiLocker account

MyGov Helpdesk’s official WhatsApp number saved on your phone: +91-9013151515

How to easily download Aadhaar on WhatsApp

First, save the MyGov Helpdesk number (+91-9013151515) in your contacts.

Open WhatsApp and send a message saying “Hi” or “Namaste”.

Choose DigiLocker Services from the chatbot menu.

Confirm your DigiLocker account and enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.

An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number; enter it to verify.

After verification, a list of available documents will show up.

Select Aadhaar, and you’ll receive your Aadhaar card in PDF format on WhatsApp.

Important things to remember

You can only download one document at a time.

Aadhaar must be linked to DigiLocker. If it’s not, you can update it through the DigiLocker app or website.

This service is completely secure and takes great care to protect your personal information.

Another step towards digital convenience

This feature gives citizens quick and easy access to Aadhaar. Since WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in India, this service ensures that important government documents are always at your fingertips on your mobile.
