Toyota Urban Cruiser EV
Let me introduce you the first of these three Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will appear on Indian roads. Its official price announcement is scheduled to take place on 19 January. This SUV is actually a rebadged version of Maruti e Vitara, i.e. platform, powertrain and features will be largely same.

The Urban Cruiser EV is expected to receive 49kWh and 61kWh of battery pack options, which can get more than 500km of range once charged. The front design is clearly seen in Toyota’s teaser, where LED headlamps add a thick black trim and Toyota’s signature badge is given in the middle.
Maruti e Vitara
Maruti e Vitara is an important step in Maruti Suzuki’s electric journey. It is believed to be launched in late January. e Vitara will be introduced in multiple configurations, giving buyers the freedom of choice.

The WLTP range of 49kWh 2WD variant is being reported to be 344km, while the 61kWh 2WD variant can go up to around 428km. The range of 61kWh AWD version will be around 394km, although the dual-motor AWD variant may be included in the lineup a short time later.
In the case of features e Vitara positions itself in premium segment. Level-2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, 7 airbags and modern cabin layout make it attractive to tech-savvy buyers. This SUV pushes Maruti’s image from “budget-friendly” forward to “future-ready” brand.
Tata Sierra EV
Tata Sierra EV is special for those who like nostalgia and the combination of new technology. Sierra EV can be brought to showrooms in the next few months, although official launch date has not yet surfaced.

This electric SUV will be based on Tata’s new ARGOS platform and is likely to receive 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs from Harrier EV. Expected range can be more than 500km, making it long-distance friendly.

ARGOS architecture supports advanced technology, so features such as V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) can be found in Sierra EV. Level-2 ADAS, 5G connection and EV-specific software upgrades make it future-proof. Design will also see some EV-focused changes, which will return Sierra’s classic name to modern avatar.
