PM Kisan Update: If you are a beneficiary of the PM Kisan Yojana, this news is very important for you. Previously, farmers were receiving benefits based on family lineage or other documents, but now the rules have changed. According to the new rules, only those farmers whose names are registered in the land records will be considered eligible for the scheme. In the Jhanjharpur sub-division area, many families still have their land registered under joint names. Due to this, many farmers are facing difficulties in availing the benefits of the scheme at the camps.

Weak E-KYC Status
According to the data, there are a total of 10,719 farmer beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the Lakhanour block. Of these, only 3,913 farmers have completed their e-KYC so far, while the e-KYC of 7,509 farmers is still pending. The number of registered farmers is even lower. So far, only 1,500 farmers have registered. This clearly indicates that while previously several members of the same family were benefiting from the scheme, the number of beneficiaries may decrease due to the new rules.
Process Continues Through Camps
In the Jhanjharpur area, the number of farmers who previously benefited from the scheme was approximately 8,200. Of these, 5,492 farmers have completed their e-KYC. However, the administration expects this number to increase further by late at night. No clear data is available regarding registrations.
