MP Weather Today: Intense cold is gripping Madhya Pradesh and other states in North India, causing people to shiver. Dense fog has blanketed many parts of the state since morning, significantly slowing down daily life. Low visibility is causing difficulties for commuters. The weather is expected to remain unfavourable.

Weather forecast for these areas
The Meteorological Department has issued a dense fog alert for more than 7 districts of Madhya Pradesh. This is likely to increase the difficulties for people in MP. The Meteorological Department has also predicted that the cold spell will intensify in the coming days.
Additionally, moderate fog is expected in Rajgarh, while light fog may be observed in Satna, Sidhi, Khajuraho, Datia, Gwalior, Ujjain, and Ratlam.

Meanwhile, during this cold spell in MP, Kalyanpur in Shahdol recorded the lowest temperature in the state today at 4.8 degrees Celsius. The temperatures in the hill stations of Pachmarhi, Shivpuri, Khajuraho, and Mandla/Naugaon (Chhatarpur) were recorded at 5.8, 6.0, 6.4, and 6.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
What will the weather be like here?
According to the IMD, dense fog is expected to persist across several districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted light fog in 8 districts, including Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, and Neemuch. Due to the dense fog, visibility will be low in many areas. People have been advised to stay indoors and take precautions.

Due to low visibility, there is also a risk of vehicle collisions on the roads. According to Arun Sharma, a scientist at the meteorological department, a western disturbance and a trough in the jet stream winds are currently affecting the region. The subtropical jet stream winds are active over the northeastern states of India. The weather remains completely dry, with winter effects clearly visible.
