Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Fare: The wait for the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is about to end. The new train could start running on the tracks next week. Meanwhile, there are reports that passengers will not receive RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) facilities on the new train. Furthermore, fares may be higher than those of trains like the Rajdhani Express.
The sleeper train is set to start operating on the Guwahati-Howrah route. This will mark the debut of the sleeper train in the Vande Bharat series. So far, the trains in service have only had chair cars. As per reports, passengers will need to pay a fare based on a minimum distance of 400 km. A circular released on January 9 mentioned, “The fare will be charged for a minimum distance of 400 km… Only confirmed tickets will be issued for this train. There will be no provision for RAC/waitlist/partially confirmed tickets. All available berths will be available from the Advance Reservation Period (ARP).”
