Pandya’s century helped Baroda post a total of 293 for nine in 50 overs. No other Baroda player managed to score a half-century. He stood at one end and kept the Vidarbha bowlers to task.

Pandya scored a century in 68 balls in this match and gave a strong score to his team. He faced 92 balls and played an innings of 133 runs with the help of eight fours and 11 sixes. During this his strike rate was 144.57. After him, Vishnu Solanki was the second highest scorer of the team with 26 runs. Yash Thakur took four wickets for Vidarbha. Yash himself dismissed Pandya. Nachiket Bhute and Parth Rekhade took two wickets each.

Pandya may be rested from the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The BCCI may rest him with the T20 World Cup in mind. Pandya hasn’t played many ODIs and hasn’t bowled enough in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Therefore, the selectors may rest him from the ODI series.
