Launched in 2026, this updated Slavia is going to directly compete with the big players in its segment.

Front look
The first glimpse of the new Skoda Slavia Facelift draws attention from the front. The butterfly grille, considered to be the identity of Skoda, is now seen in a more sharp and refreshed design than before. There have been changes in the grill as well as the headlamps. Their interior lighting elements have been given a new touch, which can further improve the road appearance of the car at night.
The front bumper looks completely new. This includes redesigned central air vents and clean-looking fog lamps. Overall, this sedan from the front looks more sporty and matured than before.

Side profile
If viewed from the side, the Slavia Facelift is not much startling, and perhaps that is its quality. The car’s sharp shoulder line extends the entire length as before, giving it a clean and elegant profile. However, the newly designed alloy wheels seen on the test mule definitely attract attention. Their black finish may indicate that they are part of the upcoming Sportline or Monte Carlo variants. It is clear that Skoda is also working on sporty elements keeping in mind the youth.
Features
Where the current Slavia lags behind is a race of features. But Skoda with the facelift is fully preparing to fill this gap. It is expected that new and more advanced infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters and some new connected features will be added to it.
Skoda became required to take this step, given feature-loaded competitors such as Hyundai Verna. There is also discussion of ADAS technology, although no clean sensor or camera was seen on the front in the test mule that has just shown. It is possible that ADAS is limited to certain variants.

Engine
Mechanically Skoda does not appear to be in the mood to take any major risk. The 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI petrol engines are also expected to continue in the facelift. Both these engines are already known for their performance and refinement.
Gearbox options will also have both manual and automatic options. This means clear — the fun and performance of driving will remain the same, just the package will become more attractive.

Rival
After its launch, the Skoda Slavia Facelift will directly compete with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and VW Virtus. Notably, the VW Virtus, currently the best-selling sedan in the segment, is also expected to receive a facelift next year. Therefore, 2026 is shaping up to be a very interesting year for the mid-size sedan segment.
