Bhubaneswar Nightclub Fire: A sudden fire broke out at a famous rooftop bar and restaurant in Bhubaneswar on the morning of December 12th, causing widespread panic. Within minutes of the fire, the furniture, decor, and interiors were utterly destroyed. The incident occurred in the morning when the restaurant was closed, and no one was present. Upon receiving the information, the police and fire department launched an investigation.

Initial investigations indicate that an electrical short circuit caused the fire, as the restaurant was closed and the kitchen was not in operation. The fire alarmed residents, prompting a fire brigade team to arrive at the scene. Officials stated that the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Currently, officials are investigating whether an electrical short circuit, a kitchen malfunction, or another cause caused the fire. According to officials, there have been no casualties so far.

A fire department official stated that the control room received the information at 8:50 am. Two fire tenders were dispatched to the scene immediately, and firefighters arrived by 9:15 p.m. The fire was completely brought under control after approximately an hour of effort.

An official stated that all the items in the bar were destroyed in the blaze. Interviews with local residents revealed that the bar was operating illegally and without a license, raising questions about regulatory compliance.

This incident comes just days after a major nightclub fire in Goa, which claimed the lives of 25 people. Following this incident, the Odisha Fire and Emergency Services ordered an audit of all restaurants and establishments with more than 100 seats across the state.
