The year 2025 is about to end. In the next year, which is 2026, cricket fans are all set to see the T20 World Cup. Ahead of the mega event, the International Cricket Council (ICC) made an official announcement through a social media post.

The ICC announced on Thursday, December 11, 2025, when ticket sales for the T20 World Cup 2026 will begin. The International Cricket Council shared this information on its official account, saying, “Your seat is waiting for you. Buy your tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 when sales open on December 11 at 6:45 PM IST and join fans from around the world in the stands.”

India and Sri Lanka have jointly hosted the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup. All matches will be played between February 7th and March 8th. The first match will be played between the Netherlands and Pakistan in Colombo. This will be followed by Bangladesh and the West Indies, followed by India and the United States.

The ninth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup was hosted by the United States and the West Indies from June 2 to June 29, 2024, featuring 55 matches between 20 teams. This season featured many exciting matches between different teams, but out of the 20 teams, India and South Africa qualified for the final. The final match was a thrilling one, with India winning by 7 runs and capturing the trophy. India will strive to defend its title in the 2026 edition.
