Indian batters are ruling the top of the batters ranking. The international Cricket Council (ICC) recently launched the updated list of rankings. There, the scenario is clear.
Latest batsman rankings by ICC
Virat Kohli has reached No. 2 in the ODI rankings. Kohli batted brilliantly in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, scoring two centuries. Kohli created a stir in ODI cricket with his two centuries and a half-century. King Kohli has benefited from his excellent performance against South Africa.
Now, Virat Kohli has reached No. 2 after gaining 773 rating points. Kohli hasn’t been ranked No. 1 in the ODI batting charts since the removal of Pakistan’s Babar Azam in April 2021. However, after his recent impressive performance for India in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, the right-handed batsman is once again close to reaching the top. Rohit Sharma is currently at No. 1 in the latest ODI batting rankings. The 37-year-old batsman was named Player of the Series for scoring 302 runs in three matches, and he’s been rewarded in the latest rankings, as King Kohli has now climbed two spots to second place behind teammate Rohit Sharma.
Rohit maintained his top spot in the rankings by scoring 146 runs throughout the series against South Africa, while Kohli, thanks to his unbeaten 65 at the series-ending match in Visakhapatnam, has moved up to No. 2. Kohli is eight rating points behind the Hit Man.
