In your opinion, which of these eminent electric SUVs would bring home glory to the Indian roads?

Performance And Tech

The Harrier EV is expected to be equipped with 75 kWh battery packs and dual-motor AWD configurations that send nearly 390 PS power and 504 Nm torque to the road, allowing a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.3 seconds. Range has been estimated at 622 km, while the XUV700 EV (codenamed XUV.e8) is being touted to offer AWD capability with this supersized battery. The Tata Harrier EV, on the other hand, gains the upper hand in terms of technology with features like V2L (Vehicle to Load) and 4-way regenerative braking.

The Mahindra XUV700 at 4695 mm is slightly longer than the Harrier EV, which stands at only 4607 mm, and the 7-seat option would accommodate larger families in comfort. In contrast, the Harrier gives gargantuan boot space of 502 litres in the 5-seater layout, while the XUV700 offers little more than 240 litres with the 7-seater setup. Both these SUVs shall come loaded with premium features such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control, among others. The segment-first 14.53-inch QLED infotainment system is also expected with the XUV700.

Performance-wise, range-wise, the Tata Harrier EV is ahead of the Mahindra XUV700 EV, boasting the power-generating dual motor AWD setup and offering a range potential of 622 km. However, if you are in the mood for a design of an already established SUV in a 7-seater configuration, then the XUV700 EV might be the best one for you. With more power, better technology, and bigger boot space, this round goes to the Harrier EV as the flagship electric SUV.
