HMD XploraOne smartphone is a collaborative effort between HMD and wearable maker Xplora, building on lessons from kids’ smartwatches to create a secure, parent-controlled mobile device. The smartphone is designed for children aged 6 to 14 years who need connectivity and safety features without full internet access or social media.

Along with that, the phone does not run a traditional smartphone OS, and it intentionally lacks a web browser, social media apps, and third-party app stores. Simultaneously, it also has extensive controls that allow parents to manage authorised contacts, set quiet hours, and block unknown numbers. Furthermore, it includes GPS and location-tracking services, SOS function, and the ability to define safety zones.
