Aparajita Plant Vastu – In Vastu Shastra and astrology, the Aparajita plant holds immense spiritual importance. Considered sacred to Goddess Durga and Lord Shani, this plant is believed to remove negative energy, calm Rahu–Shani doshas, and attract prosperity—but only when placed in the correct direction. Placing it incorrectly, however, may lead to losses and conflicts. Here’s the right way to keep the Aparajita plant at home according to Vastu.
Most Auspicious Direction: The Northeast
The northeast corner, also known as Ishan Kon, is considered the purest and most divine direction in Vastu. Keeping the Aparajita plant here is said to bring the presence and blessings of deities into the home.
When placed in this direction, the plant brings intelligence to children, harmony in the family, and steady peace in the house. It is also believed to maintain Goddess Durga’s grace.
North and East Are Also Highly Beneficial
If the northeast corner is unavailable, the north direction is another excellent option. Keeping the Aparajita plant here is associated with better health and financial growth.
Placing it in the east attracts new beginnings, respect, and the blessings of the Sun. Both these directions are considered highly auspicious to Aparajita, and the plant can even be kept on a balcony or near a window.
Avoid These Directions Completely
The south, southwest, and west directions should be strictly avoided for Aparajita. According to belief, placing the plant here may anger Shani and Rahu, leading to conflicts, debt, and health issues at home.
How Many Plants to Keep and the Right Pot Type?
It is recommended to keep either one or three Aparajita plants, as odd numbers are believed to please Goddess Durga. Avoid keeping two or four plants. For the pot, blue or purple is considered ideal, and a clay pot works best. The plant should always be placed slightly above ground level, not directly on the floor.
Auspicious Days to Plant Aparajita
To receive the blessings of Goddess Durga, the plant should ideally be planted on a Friday. For relief from Shani dosha, Saturday is considered highly effective. While planting, one should add seven Gomti Chakras, a little black soil, blue sandalwood, and a silver coin to the pot. The plant should be watered only after mixing a few drops of Ganga water.
Powerful Remedy Using the Aparajita Plant
Every Friday or Saturday, water the plant with a mixture of blue sandalwood or kajal. Tie a blue cloth or thread to the plant and light a ghee lamp nearby. Always remove dried leaves and flowers and immerse them in flowing water. It is believed that performing this remedy completely reduces the effects of the Shani and Rahu doshas.
