Pension Update: There is important news for lakhs of pensioners in Rajasthan. Those receiving pensions under the Social Security Pension Scheme, including old age, widow, and specially abled individuals, must complete their physical verification by December 31, 2025. Failing to do so may result in their pension being halted starting January 2026, or they could lose their pension benefits altogether.
The Social Justice and Empowerment Department has made it clear that if pensioners do not complete their annual verification using biometric or face recognition technology by the deadline, their pension for the year 2026 will be temporarily suspended. However, it will be reinstated once the verification is completed.
Annual verification must be completed by December 31
Pensioners enrolled in the Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme are required to undergo annual physical verification during November and December each year to confirm their continued eligibility. Those who have not yet completed this verification may experience a temporary or permanent suspension of their pension. Nevertheless, they will receive their pension along with any arrears once the verification process is finalized. The final date for completing the annual physical verification is December 31, 2025. Pensioners can complete their verification through biometric or face recognition at e-Mitra kiosks, e-Mitra Plus centers, and via the Rajasthan Social Pension and Aadhaar FaceRD mobile app.
Pensioners have multiple options for completing their verification, including e-Mitra and the mobile app.
Pension holders can complete their annual physical verification using biometric or face recognition at e-Mitra Kiosks, e-Mitra Plus Centers, and through the Rajasthan Social Pension & Aadhaar FaceRD mobile app. Annual physical verification can also be conducted using face recognition technology via the Android mobile app (Rajasthan Social Pension and Aadhaar FaceRD) specifically developed for this purpose.
If pensioners encounter any issues with biometric verification via fingerprint, they can complete their annual verification by visiting the sub-division office with their PPO, Aadhar card, or Jan Aadhar card.
For those pensioners who cannot use fingerprint biometrics, physical verification can also be conducted using an iris scan.
Should the pensioner visit the pension sanctioning officer (Development Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer) in person, physical verification can be performed based on an OTP sent to the pensioner’s registered mobile number. The officer will enter the pensioner’s PPO number on the SSP portal using their SSO ID.
Additionally, pensioners have the option to carry out this process on their smartphones. To do so, they need to download the “Raj SSP Portal Face Recognition” and “Aadhaar Face RD” apps from the Play Store. After entering their pension PPO number in the app, they should verify that their Jan Aadhar, Aadhar number, and bank account details are consistent. The app will then capture a photo of the pensioner with its camera, and after matching the face, the identity will be confirmed through prompts like blinking.
