Who can apply? (Eligibility and Age Limit)

South Eastern Railway has set some important eligibility criteria for this recruitment:

  • Applying candidates must be at least 15 years old.
  • The maximum age must not exceed 24 years as of January 1, 2026.
  • Age relaxation of 5 years will be provided to SC and ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and 10 years to PWD candidates.
  • Candidates must have passed Class 10th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with 50% marks.
  • An ITI certificate approved by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade is also mandatory.

How many positions are open?

Under this recruitment process, a total of 1785 apprentice positions will be filled in various workshops and departments of South Eastern Railway. Selected candidates will be provided with skill training opportunities in various railway divisions, which will facilitate their selection in future railway recruitment examinations and other technical jobs.

What is the application fee?

The application fee is ₹100 for General, OBC, and other categories.

SC, ST, PWD, and all female candidates are exempted from the application fee.
