Under this scheme, farmers’ electricity bills will be reduced. The government is providing solar panels for this purpose, and the government is providing subsidies on these.
The special feature of this scheme is that the central and state governments will jointly provide subsidies for installing the panels. A one-kilowatt solar panel will receive a subsidy of 45,000 rupees, a two-kilowatt solar panel will receive 90,000 rupees, and a three-kilowatt solar panel will receive 1 lakh 8 thousand rupees. These can be installed in stepwells, wells, borewells, and rivers.

Who is benefiting from the scheme?
Anil Vishkarma of the CREDA department stated that the government is providing solar panels to both rural and urban residents. Farmers can save on their electricity bills by installing this solar panel. They can irrigate their fields by installing it in stepwells, wells, borewells, and rivers.

Documents for Installing Solar Panels
If farmers want to install solar panels, they must fill out a form and submit it, including photocopies of their land plots (B-1, B-2, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and bank passbook. This will be followed by a survey, and then they will have to proceed to the solar panel section. This process will take approximately two to three months. Farmers can save on their electricity bills by taking advantage of this scheme.
